I've been playing around with sketches,
colours etc for a couple of weeks now.
Whenever it started to feel like a chore then
I would attack cupboards, drawers, shelves;
the whole workroom in fact.
I've seen so many gorgeous fabrics
out there - and bought quite a few of
them too - but also thought that maybe
it would be fun to try some designs
of my own.
Now, as yet they are nowhere near
the end stage, but perhaps there's
a better sense of which colours
appeal to me more.
These are the colours that are being used the
most lately (terrible photo using a flash tonight)
and using fine pens, not paint or ink.
But what I like best is that this is actual
fabric!
During one of the clear outs I found a
pack of iron-on transfer sheets.
Really, they're for printing out designs
from a computer, but I decided to give the
pens a go and see what happens.
I love the idea of making up something using
my own fabric - and now it's possible.

Very pretty design, I wonder what you'll make. x
Good for you Pam and it looks great, looking forward to seeing what it becomes! I love your colour choices. :)
I have to agree it is extremely hard to get a good photo these days. It is a beautiful morning here today but I don't need to photograph anything today, always the way!
Happy Tuesday,

Hi Lily - at the moment the piece of fabric is just sitting there looking at me! But there are a couple of ideas floating around. Maybe a notebook cover?
Hope you're having a good week so far,
P xx
Hi Vivienne, like you we have sun this morning - but I did have things to photograph so I was very pleased.
The colours have turned out exactly as in the original drawing which is good - but there's still a lot to get used to I think.
Enjoy the sun while it's with you,
P xx
